When a public broadcaster like WDR euphorically and uninhibitedly celebrates a young jazz trio as "Berlin's hottest hype", something extraordinary must have happened. And indeed, 25-year-old pianist and keyboardist Moses Yoofee Vester, who has worked with Peter Fox among others, has reinvented jazz to a certain extent together with fellow student Roman Klobe and Noah Fürbringer (graduate of the Popakademie). The ingredients are familiar: Hip hop, R'n'B, soul, retro fusion. But the result is highly original. Accordingly, it has spread rapidly via social media. An equally hypnotic and rugged, rhythmically dense and sonically boundlessly wide-ranging melange. Although this trio only had one EP to their name, they received the German Jazz Award in 2024, and in the top category of jazz: "Live Act of the Year".
