Italian fusion prog rock outfit Moto Perpetuo have enjoyed a decorated musical journey that spans decades, having maintained the same lineup since their inception in 1996. Featuring the talents of Alessandro Lualdi on keyboards, Orazio Martino on guitar, Costantino Corbetta on bass and Roberto Ragazzo on drums, the quartet has cultivated a deep appreciation for traditional instrumental music.
With their shared sonic vision, Moto Perpetuo draws on their virtuoso instrumental skills to create a captivating musical experience. Having initially coalesced to explore jazz fusion covers by artists such as Weather Report, Chick Corea, Tribal Tech and Yellowjackets, the band quickly ventured into making original material that echoed these influential sounds.
Their journey began with a promotional live album, Bad We Are, in 1998, followed by their first studio album, Rise in 2000. Coast To Coast marked their sophomore album in 2008, showcasing a range that spanned progressive rock, fusion and atmospheric arrangements.
