Oz Quartet was a French jazz rock group that was active during the 80s. The band was composed by guitarist and vocalist Didier Sarrazit, bassist Jerry Bedoucha, violinist Eric Petit and drummer Eric Bedoucha. In 1983 they released their only album entitled "Instant." The musical style of Oz Quartet is a jazz rock with some ingredients of Zeuhl's music, where the protagonism of Eric Petit's electric violin merges with the classic jazz sounds that are superbly executed and that evoke the solo work of another great French avant-garde, the guitarist of Art Zoyd, Alain Eckert ... It is interesting to see how in this period the French musicians used dissonant and modern classical elements, so advanced that they largely delivered very good works, which were a great contribution to the Jazz innovation and avant-garde music
