Pepe Zaragoza Lledó, born in Altea in 1988, belongs to a new generation of musicians who have already begun to emerge on the current jazz scene. This is how he is considered, for example, by the renowned journalist José Miguel López (‘Discópolis’, from Radio 3), who defined the musician as “one of the best jazz composers under 35 years old.” At the age of 9 he began to study trumpet at the Municipal Conservatory of Altea and, later, the jazz specialty at the Superior Conservatory of Valencia with Ramón Cardo, Voro García, Toni Belenguer and Albert Sanz, among others. He completed his training at the Kugg Jazz Institute in Graz (Austria), with the American trumpeter Jim Rotondi.
