For almost nine years now, Renza–Bô quintet has been developing a fundamentally original, daring and sensitive jazz music. Composed by the trumpet player Pierre Millet, their repertoire offers a large scale of music pieces and musical moods (ballads, small pieces with no chorus part, suites, off the wall or burlesque grooves, ritornellos…) Actually it is a fine blend of improvisation and of a remarkable work of composition ; their musical world is rich and singular, characterized by a constant search for dynamics, colours, timbres, nuances and forms ; in brief it is a modern, profound, full of swing and full of groove music. Renza-Bô have come so far with three albums, produced by « le Petit label », in 2007, 2008 and 2009. All of them were highly praised by critics and public. Two more albums (one live and one studio) are to be issued in next september.
