A Goshen native, Gingrich is best known as the drummer for national recording act The Main Squeeze. The band, now based in Los Angeles, has averaged more than 100 dates a year for several years now.
“I’ve been writing music ever since I started playing drums 17 years ago. To me, composing is just as exciting as playing drums. For 'Blue Island,' I wanted an outlet for my instrumental compositions — it's all funk, fusion and jazz-based material,” he said. “The core of the band is primarily made up of some amazing musicians that I met in Chicago, and there are also a few special guest features on the album including B.C. Manjunath, who is an awesome Indian Konnakol (vocal percussion) artist, and MonoNeon, who is a very unique and incredible bass player."
