Rodrigo Agudelo is a guitarist and composer born in Buenos Aires in 1983. In his teenage years he lived in Bogotá (Colombia), where he began to study music and later on took his first professional steps at the age of 17. Once settled in Buenos Aires, he studied jazz with Ernesto Jodos, Pablo Bobrowicky and Enrique Norris and composition with Teodoro Cromberg, Pollo Raffo and Manfred Schwarzkopf. In May 2008, the private lessons he took with the innovative guitarist John Stowell shaped his musical thought for good. His modern sound is anchored to the tradition of the jazz guitar, that of Grant Green and Jim Hall, and even Bill Frisell and Ben Monder, while also drawing on rock, music styles from the world and the experimental avantgarde.
