ROLF-ERIK NYSTRØM - Norwegian saxophonist. Born 1975. Received the Young Peoples Lindemanprice 2005 (the highest acclaim for young musicians in Norway). Artist grant from the Norwegian state 2004-05 & 2010-12 & the National Concert Council’s Debut Price 2001. Has been a soloist with the Oslo Philharmonic, Sinfonieorkester Basel, Swedish Radio Symph.Orch., Bergen Philharmonic, Stavanger Symphony Orch. Norwegian Radio Symph.Orch., TM+ (Nanterre), Oslo Sonfonietta, Kaput Ensemble (Iceland), Norwegian State Academy Orch. and other sinfoniettas in Norway and Finland. (Works by Rosing-Schow, Feld, Thommessen, Kruse, Rohloff, Francesconi, Lars P.Hagen, Paus, F.Martin, Nordin, Buene and himself.)
