Rory More is the UK’s leading exponent of classic vintage rhythm and groove organ,
reminiscent of 1960s Soho and clubland London. His playing on his beloved Lowrey Heritage Deluxe organ takes the full gamut of a swinging black and white film soundtrack – visceral rhythm and blues, moody cinematronics, groovy jazz standards and out-there upbeat bossa nova. He has collaborated with mainstream artists and his recorded work has featured on film and TV.
Rory More's organ swings so much you just can't bear it. For the past decade this man has been keeping a medium profile, cultivating a sound curiously seductive and sonically odd-ball. It's a sound lost somewhere in the kind of places that only exist when you think about them; vaguely graspable moments immersed in dusty celluloid.
