An oud, tablas, a soprano saxophone: the three voices intersect. They talk to through their intonations and their colors different. The universe of Saouta, fruit of an imagination nourished by Celtic, Arabic, Indian and of jazz, is an ode to travel, to the moment, to the passing breath.
Saouta was born from the meeting between Bernard Flament (tablist) and Damien Brassart (saxophonist, oboist, flautist), he who, inspired by oriental colors, improvisation and jazz, a composed the pieces of the trio. Listening to what he felt, through experiences, he improvised by blowing in his instruments, and recorded what came out of it. Universes and melodies, which very quickly married with the Indian percussions of Bernard Flament, are born then of this pleasure of the game.
