Satoyama, founded in 2013, brings together four musicians focused on different styles, that seek to create a border music.
Deeply influenced by the north european jazz, contemporary classical music and world music, they try to combine all the contaminations as one.
In 2013 they won a contest for record the soundtrack for a TvSeries produced by the Lisbona University.
In 2014 won the “under 30” contest organized by Barolo Jazz Club.
In 2015 they realeased their album “Spicy green cube” well received by the critics.
In 2015 they joined the legendary Anthony Braxton in his project “Sonic Genome”.
At the end of 2016 they toured northern Europe, where they touched many cities in Sweden and Denmark. There they collaborated with the Swedish saxophonist Jonny Wartel and recorded together the album “In Sweden”, released in 2017.
In 2017 they won the 1st prize for the #TasteofJazz contest organized by Novara Jazz.
