Sebastiano Meloni, pianist, lives in Cagliari, Italy, where he teaches secondary school Italian, History & Geography. He graduated from the Conservatoire in Cagliari with a degree in Jazz Music. While at the conservatoire, he also studied classic and contemporary piano, composition and music theory.
He has played and recorded, among others, with Tony Oxley, Paul Dunmall, Roberto Dani, Mark Sanders, Adriano Orrù, Roberto Pellegrini, Sebastiano Dessanay, Nicola Cossu, Massimo Tore, Simona Bandino and Alessandro Garau.
“My music is completely improvised; I only composed a few themes for the CD “Dialogues”. I am not interested in any kind of meaning apart from that which can be derived from musical expression.
