Vienna-based Shake Stew is currently the hippest band in its home country and they’re also creating a buzz outside. With no less than three horn players, two bassists and two drummers, the band has enough firepower to blow away any festival. Their trance-like jazz touches on afro-beat and North-African desert blues. Alongside bass, band leader Lukas Kanzelbinder regularly plays the guebri, the Moroccan bass lute.
