Vocalist Shoshana Bush grew up in Los Angeles singing American standards and loving Ella and Louis. After graduating from Columbia University with a degree in jazz studies and working with George Lewis, Christine Correa and Barry Harris, she returned to LA and spent two years gigging and expanding her repertoire. These years were highlighted by two sold out shows at her musical home, Catalina Jazz Club, in November 2010 and August 2011.
After recording a demo disc, Shoshana moved back to New York in Fall 2011. Gigging around town for two years, she acquired a repertoire and confidence only NYC can cultivate. Returning to Los Angeles in January 2013, and funded by a successful kickstarter campaign, Shoshana recordied her first full length, live album entitled Shoshana Bush & Friends Live at Catalina Jazz Club.
