The 25-years old Jazz-Pianist begins playing the piano early in his life (in the age of 4, drums at the age of 12). As a teenager he discovered Jazz. Since 2014 until 2019 he studied Jazz at the „Hochschule für Musik“ (HfMT Köln) in Cologne. Prof. Hubert Nuss & Prof. Hendrik Soll were his most important teachers. In 2016 he found his own quartet with following fellow students: Fabian Dudek (as), Jan Philipp (dr) und Yannik Tiemann (db). The Band won several prices (e.g. the international Avignon Jazz-price ("Tremplin Jazz D'Avignon"); "Werner Richard - Carl Dörken scholarship"). In 2017 he won the "Steinway-Förderpreis NRW". Since 2018 Simon is member of the „Live-Music-Now“-society. The debut-album of the „Simon Below Quartett“ came out on 4th of May 2018 („Wailing Wind’s Story“ - Double Moon - JazzThing-Next Generation).
