We have had thoughts about this for a long time. After a decade of The KutiMangoes, we felt that our music and us as evolving beings have changed into something different. Our name needs to mirror this change.
Our new name represents us better as the band we are now. Sunbörn means 'sun children' or 'solbørn' and with that name change, we want people to come together. We are all born under the same sun and when the world is slowly tearing us apart, we believe that music can stitch us back together again.
With this new chapter in our lives, we are also releasing a new album next year with entirely new music, new features and new collaborators.
