Traditional yet modern, lyrical yet dramatic, jazz pianist Takeshi Asai has been a one-of-a-kind voice in New York’s jazz scene for more than ten years.
Despite the difficult time during the pandemic, he established his own label (Fono Bono Records) in 2021, and released two new albums; the most eclectic “The Electric Project Vol. 2 (ep2cd.takeshiasai.com)” and his signature acoustic piano album “Trio Vol. VI (triov6.takeshiasai.com)” which has been acclaimed in 17 magazines, 8 countries in 6 languages.
In New York and France, he has performed with Bill Crow, Tony Marino, Gene Perla, Bill Warfield, Paul Rostock, Mark Wade, Bob Gingery, Andrea Veneziani, Nori Naraoka, Pascal Combeau, Marc Peillon, Anthony Pinciotti, Rob Garcia, Brian Woodruff, Michael Vitali, Maxime Legrand, Nelson Hill, to name but a few.
