A delightful vignette, so laid back that Krebs' vocals make Julie London sound like Big Mama Thornton. The voice, almost a whisper, winds its way around your emotions. Soft and sensuous with each word as meaningful as the lyricist's intent - maybe more so given Kreb's reading of the words. Words and phrases with an effective emphasis on spaces. It's an album for late nights in - with a drink or a partner or both. In time, it may well be filed alongside Wee Small Hours, Black Coffee and other post-midnight classics. In the meantime, congratulate yourself on having got in on the ground floor.

Bassist Wild boasts a strong studio pedigree having been the centre-back on many film and TV soundtracks as well as recording and appearing live with, among others, James Moody, Terence Blanchard, Dianne Reeves and Natalie Cole.
