Originally from the western part of Brazil, Urbem is a contemporary jazz quartet. Without loosing their home country essence, unusual mixture of effects and interesting rhythms are essential ingredients of their identity. Since 2015 the band has gathering a lot of attention. They were the winner of a national instrumental music award called Samsung EFestival Instrumental, and recently they were invited to join the Odradek Records, based in US and Italy. The band in going back to Europe in April this year to record an album and do a few presentations. The quartet is formed by Sandro Moreno (the winner of Batuka Music Fest 2001 on drums), Bianca Bacha (vocals, ukulele and samplers), Gabriel de Andrade (guitars) and Gabriel Basso (electric bass).
