After completing a course of study in classical saxophone with André Beun, Vincent Jourde set his mind on becoming a jazz musician. He then studied with Bertrand Auger at l’Ecole Nationale de Musique de Noisiel as well as taking ensemble workshops with Peter Giron at the American school of Modern music. In 2003, his encounter with Rosario Giuliani also had a great impact on his conception of improvisation.
