Bound by a friendship of twenty-five years, drummer Ali Jackson, bassist Omer Avital and pianist Aaron Goldberg - three contemporary masters of jazz with a tremendous wealth of experience and credits ranging from Wynton Marsalis to Joshua Redman and Kurt Rosenwinkel - release their second collaborative studio effort “Groove du Jour”. The trio began playing music together in 1993 during their time at the New School of Jazz in New York and now looks back on more than two decades of experience. "We met to learn, to play together and to encourage and inspire each other. Today, connected by experience and conscious of it, we can uniquely spontaneously participate in the archetype of jazz.
