Saxophonist, vocalist, flutist & composer Camille Thurman releases her debut album Origins on the Hot Tone Music.
Album features Luis Perdomo (piano), Corcoran Holt (bass), Rudy Royston (drums), Shirazette Tinnin (drums & cajon), Enoch Smith Jr. (piano), Brandee Younger (harp) & Camille Thurman (tenor & soprano saxophones, flute and vocals) .
Origins consists of 2 standards paying tribute to Fats Waller & Sarah Vaughan and 11 original compositions. Two of the original compositions received the 2012 & 2013 ASCAP Foundation Herb Alpert Young Jazz Composer award for outstanding compositions.
