Portland, Oregon singer-songwriter-keyboardist Jarrod Lawson and his percussionist, Grammy-nominated Sammy Figueroa, perform in an informal studio setting the title track from his forthcoming second album Be The Change, for release worldwide on Dome Records on October 30 2020.
Described by the London Evening Standard as “the blue eyed soul boy of jazz”, Lawson received a Soul Artist of the Year Award from the UK’s Jazz FM in the wake of the release of his debut album and was Album of the Year runner-up at Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide Awards.
His new 11-track album will be available on CD, 2LP gatefold vinyl and on all major digital platforms. Los Angeles alternative R&B trio Moonchild are featured on one of the tracks.
