Skir is an old norse word that means pure. It´s also the name of one of Karl Seglems poems included in this song, taken from his third published collection of poetry called Kvervel (Skald 2018). Seglem now continues his works with merging music and poetry and this new single shows his new direction into exciting new territories, still with his unmistakeable great personal sound. His poetic goat horn playing blends melodically with the Norwegian langeleik (droned zither) and mouth harp, up on droning electronics and the rhytmic waves of bass, drums, percussion put together by drummer and producer Alf Magne Hillestad. It is a new important landmark in Karl Seglems musical and poetic journey. Pointing forward to the new massive album to come in 2021. Ancient, mystical and modern.
