The new Slovenian trio of the guitarist and composer Samo Šalamon presents 10 new compositions that were especially written for the trio and will be released in January 2020 on two new albums - Rare Ebb and Common Flow, which will be already albums 29 and 30 as a leader by Šalamon. Besides Samo Šalamon, who has played with jazz greats such as Donny McCaslin, Paul McCandless, Tim Berne, Howard Levy, Mark Turner, Tony Malaby, David Binney, Michel Godard, Tyshawn Sorey and many others, has been a favorite among jazz critics for years and has been considered as one of the most creative and productive jazz musicians around, the trio presents also the excellent Slovenian trumpet player and composer Igor Matkovic and the great cellist, drummer and composer Kristijan Krajncan. The trio presents exclusively the new compositions, by Šalamon which show ECMish melodicism and openess.
