I am looking for a more honest collective memory.
Having family that lived through the colonial period in Angola motivated my artistic research. From that I created Recognition: a silent film combined with texts by Amílcar Cabral, with music featuring Zeena Parkins (harp), Mark Turner (tenor sax) and David Virelles (piano). I produced the film and composed the music.
Now it is time to document it and record the music, so Recognition can be available to everyone.
