This is a compilation from various Candid-sessions Dolphy took part in between October 20, 1960 and April 4, 1961(as a sideman including dates with bassist Charles Mingus, trumpeter Booker Little, singer Abbey Lincoln and the Newport Rebels).Album features eight alternate takes from these sessions, six of which were previously unissued.
#1, 3 to 6 and 8 are previously unreleased alternate take. Recorded at Nola Penthouse Studios, New York city.
