Side A:
The tapes used on side A were recorded in New York City at street fairs, demonstrations and, along with the bagpipes, in Washington Square.
Recorded July / August 1980 at Studio Freeson, Pujaut, France and Studio Sunrise, Kirchberg, Switzerland.

Side B:
Tracks B1, B4 and the end of track B2 are based on a live concert recorded at CBGB in New York, April 1980; subsequently altered and added to in Switzerland. Track B6 is from the same concert and is an improvised piece heard as played.
Recorded July / August 1980 at Studio Sunrise, Kirchberg, Switzerland.
