Chaos Echoes’ tracks were improvised at Downtown Studios in Strasbourg, France in November 2016, and engineered by Cyrille Gachet at Downtown Studios in Strasbourg, France. The music was sent to Gustafsson, who recorded his parts with Andreas Werliin at RUD Studio in Stockholm, Sweden in May 2017. Gachet mixed Sustain at Dick Doom Studio in Bordeaux, France in July 2017, and James Plotkin mastered it for vinyl at Plotkinworks in Bethlehem, PA in August 2017.
