Sides A and B were recorded in Copenhagen, Denmark on November 5, 1965. Sides C and D were recorded in Haarlem, Holland on November 4, 1966.
This version of "Closer" is released here for the first time. All other selections on sides one and two were issued in Europe on the Fontana and Debut labels as "Touching." Sides three and four were released in Europe on the Polydor International label as "Blood: Paul Bley in Haarlem." None of this material has evere been issued in the United States.
