Ibrahim Electric are Danish trio playing quite rare music nowadays which is more for fun than for your head. Analog vintage keyboards, drums and relaxed electro-acoustic guitar sounds as they are coming right from late 60s.
Ray Anderson is American trombonist and this album is his second collaboration with Danes trio. The album was recorded live during their concerts at Copenhagen's JazzHouse and Pakhuset in Arhus in February 2007. Guys obviously have a fun playing as well as screaming and singing public around. All the sound is full of trombone solos, funky organ passages , perfect jazzy drumming and tasteful vintage guitar leaks.
All musicians from Ibrahim Electric play on different other projects (Passborg's solo project Odessa 5 playing more improvs based avantgarde jazz is particularly popular around Nordic and Baltics). It's obviously,Ibrahim Trio is their project more for fun, and they really succeed in it! Listening to this very informal live recording you can easily imagine yourself being on some party in Copenhagen's Christiania, or if you have no idea what is it - just think about psychedelic party in late 60s full of distorted bluesy and funky passages,brass,pre-hard rock era guitars and screaming and dancing nerd around.
