Graduated with a master degree from the Carl Nielsen Acedemy in Odense in 2009, he is now fortunate to be studying at the highly esteemed "solist class" program at Rhythmical Music Conservatory in Copenhagen: an extra 6th and 7th year of supported jazz studies.
Morten Christian Haxholm Jensen is an active composer, teacher and bassplayer. He has played with an impressive amount of danish and international jazz musicians: Jesper Løvdal, Mads La Cour, Jakob Høyer, Anders Mogensen, Niels Lyhne Løkkegaard, Carl Winther, Niclas Campagnol, Kasper Villaume, Cecilie Norby, Jan Harbeck, Thomas Franck, Petter Wettre, Bob Rockwell (and a bunch of other lovely musicians).
In March 2012 Morten Christian recorded a jazz album with the jazzgreats Jonathan Kreisberg, Ari Hoenig and Frederick Menzies in the renowned "Systems Two studios" in Brooklyn, New York.
Morten Christian Haxholm Jensen also recorded a album with the Polish/Danish avantgarde-modern jazz project: "Off-Quar-Tet" in 2009 - released
