"Sweetie" is a salute to West African disco music from the 80s/90s. It’s an ode to the playfulness lovers share. For us Sweetie is an exploration of different sounds. It started out all electronic, with drum machines and synths and then built in to a bigger piece. It expands upon the band exploring more electronic sounds and opening up to some of the black soul music that really pioneered the use of these sounds. We're enjoying this wonkier sound" - Kokoroko
"Sweetie" is taken from the forthcoming LP "Tuff Times Never Last" which will be released on July 11th.
