"Trio is a good Rock album in Classic Fusion field. Recorded by Leb i Sol's axeman with Mihail Purushev (drums, percussions) and Aleksandar Pop-Hristov (bass) and therefore entitled "Trio", "Trio" present good music. But Jazz? Certainly not all the compositions are Jazz. Sure is not Jazz "Igri Bez Granci", a good Rock but certainly are Jazz "Kalajdzisko oro", "Ne Ssi go prodavaj koljo" and "7/8 oro", three Macedonian traditionals. Electric guitar is the dominant instrument and basically electric guitar influence the style of the album. That not for this is not Jazz. And, incredible, the best of Power Metal song that I listen to in my life is "Ufo", the third track in this album, that present great neoclassic electric guitar and double bass drums with a good Hard Rock/ Fusion intermezzo with a great guitar solo. I wrote: "neoclassical electric guitar" and I repeat: "neoclassical electric guitar". Except for "Igri Bez Granici" and the three traditionals this is the style that Stefanovski use, so that this album is similar to Joe Satriani's albums for style... Extremely similar. Not for this "Trio" is a tribute to Joe Satriani. Rather "Trio"was composed so unwittingly. Probably "Gluvo Doba" is too close to POP for the presence of vocals but it is true that this is a good piece of modern mix of genres and its complexity (because Gluvo Doba" is not a simple song to be analyzed)is the winning element of this album.
Certainly "Trio" is an album that should be studied thoroughly, but from what I have already written reflected a fundamental thing:"Trio" is a fusion album Because The Compositions are a mix of different genres, especially rock, covered in a jazz key. Therefore, in conclusion, "Trio"is aFusion of Rock album? Hmmm... I do not know. What I can say is that "Trio" is a great album.
