I've recently come to the conclusion this is my favorite jazz album of all time. It's got everything I've been looking for recently in a jazz record-a fabulous opening song, solid middle with groove and a variety of instruments including guitar and keys (hammond b-3, fender rhodes, clavinet). Uptempo, downtempo, mid, breezy, aggressive, happy, sad, this record is 36 minutes and for me when it's over it's like 10 minutes went by. The closing song is perfect, and this jazzfunk stays with you long after the sounds fade. Song 2, "Zaius", is a staple at rare groove clubs the world over.

These songs are perfectly formed and flow like it's a soundtrack to the career of Michael Jordan.
